Who am I? |
my full name is Heginio Jr Taeza and i was born in Manila, Philippines in October, 1999 then moved to
the United States in February, 2004.
i am a wholehearted computer scientist and engineer, and i completely dedicate much of my free time
finding clever ways to help make the world a better place.
i strive to build myself both as a programmer and as an individual, and i am constantly challenging myself to push my own boundaries
and become better than yesterday's me.
aside from being a hardcore tech enthusiast who spends hours on end programming in front of a computer screen,
i enjoy going outside and observing the world around me. i have a passion for dancing, cooking, and fashion, and i absolutely love spending quality time
with my beloved friends and family (and pets of course).
let us have a
chat
and i'd be more than happy to share more about myself!
I graduated from Mt. San Jacinto College in May, 2021 as an honor roll student
holding three degrees as an AS in Computer Science, an
AS in Mathematics, and an AA in Mathematics & Science.
I am now pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the
University of Southern California, and I will be graduating in
May, 2023.
I hold knowledge in a variety of technical skills, tools, and courses, particularly with:
- C++, Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST API
- Data Structures & Algorithms, Linux (OS), Artificial Intelligence
- Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics
I've Interned as a Software Engineer for AEVEX Aerospace
from May to August 2021.
I worked on the development of a user interface that would
connect AEVEX aircraft pilots to specific server networks (TCP/UDP) for communication
with personnel on ground. I implemented the backend of this interface and optimized outdated
algorithms to maximize broadcasting speeds. I also added extended operations onto the pilot's interface
to support various mappings (shapes) of geographic regions for clienteles to receive.
I am thoroughly involved in aiding my community through volunteering and community service.
I've taken part of multiple Food Drives in Orange County to help feed those in need. I've volunteered
at my local animal shelter to undertake duties of nursing the animals and cleaning of the facility.
On the more technical side, I've participated in several Hackathons that work toward spreading awareness
of present global issues and tackling them such as global warming, adverse effects of COVID-19, and many
more problems we face today.
